Yuko Japanese Hair Straightening

Georgia would like to thank you for considering her to serve your hair needs. She is originally from Greece and has had to deal with frizz and unruly curls for the majority of her life. It was important for her to find a solution to this menacing problem and offer a service to people who have had to deal with this daily frustration. Georgia did extensive research to find the best products that she believes in and work and that is how she discovered Yuko Japanese Hair Straightening.

In 2006, she became certified in Yuko Japanese Hair Straightening at the Yuko Academy in LA. Yuko is a permanent straightening system that will give you shiny, straight, low maintenance, and hassle-free hair. With this straightening, styling your hair takes less time and is more manageable. You will love your “new” hair you were not born with by straightening with Yuko. Please give Georgia a call to set up a complimentary consultation.

Yuko Japanese Hair Straightening FAQs:

Are you frustrated with your stubborn natural curls or frizzy dry hair?
Unlike the conventional hair-straightening perm, Yuko System is a thermal reconditioning and repair system. By fusing proteins into the hair thermally, the hair is strengthened internally while the cuticle layers are pressed smooth providing increased shine and softness.

What kind of hair can be straightened?
“Virgin” hair and hair that has been colored by a stylist.

Is Yuko Straightening System process truly permanent?
Yes. The Yuko System is permanent on the hair that is treated. However, your new hair will grow in with its natural texture, therefore it will be necessary to straighten the new growth.

How long does the straightening process take?
The entire process takes 4 to 5 hours (The length and density of the hair can result in a longer process).
When retouched for new growth, no steps are skipped. Although there is less hair to retouch, the process still will take 3 to 4 hours.

Can highlighted hair be permanently straightened with the Yuko System?
Yes it can be straightened. Highlighted hair is considered to be damaged hair, regardless of its appearance or strength so it does require specialized skill. Yuko has a formula to straighten highlighted hair, and I am experienced in working with highlighted and processed hair.

Can colored hair be permanently straightened with the Yuko System?
Yes. Tinted or colored hair is the ideal condition for the Yuko System. There are two different formulas I work with but they strongly depend on how healthy or chemically dependent your hair is.

How often do I need to redo the straightening?
The average time between hair straightening services is 6 months but it depends on your hair type. The speed at which your hair grows and your ability to work with the new growth will ultimately determine the length of time for you. Hair straightening retouches are done to new growth only.

How much does the Yuko System cost?
It depends on the length and density of your hair. A consultation is highly recommended so I can see the condition of your hair and quote a price based off the work that will need to be done. Yuko can start at $350 but the pricing can vary based on the two factors mentioned before.

*New clients: $100 non-refundable deposit is required to book any hair straightening services. This fee will be deducted from your total the day of your service.
